To maintain the customer’s interest in your store and what you have to offer is important.

With Post Purchase Upsell for WooCommerce, you can present additional products to your customers that can interest them. Based on their purchase. They can also add these products to their order, after a completed purchase.

The plugin thus not only presents products for a customer to buy at a later time. It allows them to directly add these products to their order. This gives you greater opportunities to get more revenue even from one-time buyers. Not just returning customers.

You also remove the step of having to place a new order. Avoiding any possible frustration for the customer.

Post Purchase Upsell for WooCommerce works together with Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce and Qliro One for WooCommerce at the moment. Additional payment service providers will be added.


How is Post Purchase Upsell presented to the customer?

Do you want to add something else to your order?

Post Purchase Upsell does not change the flow in WooCommerce. Once a customer has placed their order in your store, they are redirected to the thank you page. Just as usual. The difference is that if you have Post Purchase Upsell installed, they will now have a variety of products presented to them. These are displayed at the top of the thank you page. Products you as a merchant have connected by adding them to Cross-sells, Upsells or the new Post purchase upsells under Linked Products.

This presentation automatically disappears when the time expires. How long your customer has to make additions to their order is set by you. In some cases this is controlled, or conditioned, by the payment service provider.

Choose products and confirm

The customer can now choose to add products to their recently placed order. They can select and deselect as they wish. A plus indicates that the product can be added, a green check mark that it’s added. A red cross appears instead of a green check mark when they hover over the button on the products they have selected. It is only when they click on Confirm that the order is updated.

Easy for the customer with Post Purchase Upsell

The order is updated

The page is reloaded and the products are now added to the order. A new message containing which products have been added is shown at the top. It also shows the sum of the added products.

If the customer has chosen invoice as payment, this is now updated with the provider of the payment service. When paying by card, a new deduction is made from the sum of the added products.

Please note that not all payment service providers allow this type of Upsell functionality for all payment methods, for example card payments.

Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce

When buying with Klarna, it requires that the customer has chosen a non direct payment method (invoice, account…). They must also not be flagged for poor credit value at Klarna.

There are no restrictions on the total amount of what you can offer in your additional sales, or what the customer can add.

Qliro One for WooCommerce

There are certain restrictions when buying with Qliro One. When the customer has chosen payment after delivery, the sum of the products the customer adds may not exceed 10% of the original order value.

For payment before delivery, there is a maximum limit of SEK 300 with which the customer can extend their purchase.

These limits are regulated in your agreement with Qliro.

  • Enhancement – Added a automatic conversion of the old settings to a new format when upgrading from version a older version of the plugin to version 3.0.0 or newer.
  • Fix – Fixed an issue with not properly checking if a upsell should be available to the customer or not.
  • Fix – Fix incorrect path to main plugin file for the update checker. Would cause updates to not show properly.
